About me

Hi, my name is Christoph. I'm from Mittelberg, a small village in Austria. I studied physics at TU Munich and co-founded komoot, one of the world's largest outdoor platforms, which we sold in 2025. It was a remarkable journey — I learned an enormous amount and worked with genuinely great people.
What I liked most about komoot was what it actually did: it got people outdoors and moving, and that makes a real difference to how they feel. LifeSparks is after something similar by a different route — living a bit more consciously, and getting more out of the life you already have.
It was also quite a ride, and I'm enjoying working on this at a calmer pace and on my own. The urge to build things hasn't gone anywhere, and this is an idea that's been on my mind for more than fifteen years — one I've never lost my fascination for.
These days I live in Madrid with my wife and our two children. I spend a good deal of my free time doing sport, and rather more than I'd admit building radio-controlled aircraft.
Yours,
Christoph
What I'd like to hear
If you use LifeSparks, I'm interested in three things: how you use it, whether it changes anything for you, and what would make it better. Those answers are what the next version gets built from — and some of them may end up here, as stories from other people, if you're happy for them to.
